T.C. decided to jazz it up a bit.

    Lyrics

    If We Don’t Boogie
    Verse 1
I was singing in a rock and roll band,
    Playing nearly every night,
We'd keep the whole place rocking hard
    'Til the morning light.
    The dance floor stayed crowded,
    The jukebox gathered dust,
When we hit that stage and kicked it off,
    The people danced with us.
    Verse 2
I met a lot of good folks out there,
    Made friends in every town,
Had a bunch of loyal fans
    Whenever we'd come around.
We always gave the crowd our best,
    Never held nothing back,
We came to play some rock and roll
And keep 'em on the right track.
    Chorus
We played rock and roll music all night long,
Kept the whole place moving with every song.
The guitars rang bright and the drums beat loud,
And we never failed to please the crowd.
Keep on moving, don't slow down,
We're gonna rock this little town.
As long as the band keeps laying it down,
We'll keep on moving all around.
    Verse 3
Then one night she walked right in,
Long blonde hair and a movie-star grin.
The way she danced nearly stopped the show,
I knew right then I couldn't let her go.
She stole my heart with every move,
Had me acting like a fool,
I figured if I played my cards just right,
Maybe she'd think I was cool.
    Verse 4
I told myself she's the one for me,
There couldn't be nobody else, can't you see?
So I played her a love song soft and slow,
She smiled and laughed and said, "Boy, let's go."
Then she grabbed my hand and pulled me near,
    Whispered something in my ear,
Said, "If we're not gonna boogie tonight,
    I'm getting out of here."
    Chorus
We played rock and roll music all night long,
Kept her moving with every song.
The guitars rang bright and the drums beat loud,
And we never failed to please the crowd.
Keep on moving, don't slow down,
We're gonna rock this little town.
As long as the band keeps laying it down,
We'll keep on moving all around.
    Bridge
The years roll by but I still recall
    That night above them all,
One pretty girl and a rock and roll band,
    And a packed-out dance hall.
    Final Chorus
We played rock and roll music all night long,
Still keeping people moving with every song.
The guitars ring bright and the drums beat loud,
And we still know how to work a crowd.
Keep on moving, keep on rolling along,
Living life one rock and roll song.
As long as there's a stage and a crowd around,
We'll keep on moving from town to town.
